Infosys Spends ₹345 Cr on Corporate Social Responsibility Projects in FY22

The unspent amount of ₹51.79 crore has been earmarked for various ongoing projects related to the Covid-19 relief effort.

In FY2022, Infosys spent ₹344.91 crore on various social and environmental projects. The unspent amount of ₹51.79 crore has been earmarked for various ongoing projects related to the Covid-19 relief effort and will be transferred to the unspent CSR account and spent in accordance with the Business Rules (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy).

In FY 2022, the company’s CSR efforts included COVID-19 relief in multiple states. The company reported about 73,00,000 beneficiaries of the CSR project.

The company had an average net profit of ₹19,834 crore for the year. Accordingly, the two percent of the average net profit of the company as per Section 135(5) calculated ₹396.70 crores.

Over the years, Infosys has focused on sustainable business practices that incorporate economic, environmental, and social needs that not only cover business, but also the communities around where it operates.

The company works mainly through the Infosys Foundation to support projects in the field of national heritage preservation, restoration of historical sites and development of industry and culture; Helpless care and rehabilitation; Environmental sustainability and environmental balance; Expanding education and improving professional skills; Promoting healthcare, including preventive health care and rural development

The company states that there is no unspent amount for CSR other than ongoing projects under the Act referred to in Schedule VII of the Companies Act.
