Prime Minister inaugurates the Infosys Foundation’s facility for cancer patients,appreciates its CSR efforts.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Foundation Vishram Sadan (relaxation home) on the Jhajjar campus of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, which is located near the National Cancer Institute (AIIMS)

The Prime Minister, who took part in the event digitally, said the facility was extremely convenient for cancer patients. It will alleviate patients’ and their families’ concerns, he noted. The 10-story skyscraper was constructed across a 271,250-square-foot space at a cost of Rs 93 crore. The facility can house up to 800 impoverished patients’ families for both short and long-term stays. The Infosys Foundation Vishram Sadan (rest house) at the National Cancer Institute in the Jhajjar campus of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi (AIIMS).

The 10-story skyscraper was constructed across a 271,250-square-foot space at a cost of Rs 93 crore. The facility can house up to 800 impoverished patients’ families for both short and long-term stays. The Prime Minister, who took part in the event digitally, said the facility was extremely convenient for cancer patients. It will alleviate patients’ and their families’ concerns, he noted. He commended the AIIMS, Jhajjar for providing land, electricity, and water, as well as the Foundation for donating it. He expressed gratitude to the AIIMS administration and Foundation chairperson Sudha Murthy’s team for their efforts and kindness. The Prime Minister stated that India’s corporate sector, private sector, and social organisations have all worked to improve the country’s health care. Ayushman Bharat – PMJAY, he said, is a good example of this.

Today is a momentous day for India, as the country has reached the milestone of 100 crore vaccination doses. The country now possesses a powerful protective barrier of 100 crore vaccine doses to combat the greatest pandemic in 100 years. Modi noted at the gathering that this achievement belongs to India and its people. The Prime Minister congratulated India’s vaccine makers, employees who deliver vaccines, and health-care experts who work on vaccine development.
