Mo Bus service of the Capital Region of Odisha has won an International Award. Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) which runs Mo Bus has been honoured with the 2022 United Nations Public Service Awards in the category of “Promoting gender-responsive public services to achieve the SDGs”
The United Nations Public Service Award is the most prestigious international recognition of excellence in public service. It recognizes the creative achievements and contributions of public service organizations that lead to more efficient and responsive public administration in countries around the world.
CRUT won the award for its contribution and development of public transport, achieving sustainable development goals and promoting gender-responsive public services. The vision of excellence in public transport services and continuous efforts to improve the urban mobility system in the state capital region has been lauded on the international stage.
Ten initiatives from Brazil, Canada, India, Ireland, Panama, Philippines, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Ukraine have been recognized for their innovative public service delivery with the prestigious UN Public Service Awards at a virtual celebration organized by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs
