Traditional Pineapple agroforestry can address climate change, biodiversity loss
Pineapple-based agroforestry, traditionally practiced by the ethnic “Hmar” tribe in southern Assam, can be a sustainable alternative to jhum cultivation for the North-East India. A new study has revealed that the practice can provide twin solutions for climate change and biodiversity loss.
