October 27, 2021

The Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) at the Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has established ‘ESG Startup Week’ in cooperation with Climate Collective in order to promote awareness on the subject

The AIC-GIM Foundation has been trying to create a welcoming environment for entrepreneurs in Goa, with the help of Niti Aayog. Climate Collective, a non-profit organisation, is dedicated to achieving the worldwide aim of sustainability. Both of these organisations have recently joined forces to promote global environmental goals.

While larger corporations have made corporate social responsibility a part of their culture, small and medium businesses have paid little attention to it. All parties (bigger corporations, MSMEs, and Startups) must come together and cooperate for the greater good of society, whether it is to address environmental concerns or social impact issues. The Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) at the Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has organised ‘ESG Startup Week’ in cooperation with Climate Collective in order to promote awareness on the subject.

The effort aims to educate entrepreneurs on the importance of environmental, social, and governance goals in achieving business and societal goals. Throughout the week, there will be a variety of events, including masterclasses, roundtable discussions, talk shows, seminars, and fireside talks. The hybrid ESG Startup Week aims to promote awareness and identify new-age solutions to diverse environmental and social concerns. “This event will exhibit a plethora of activities, including panel discussions, awareness campaigns, and clean-up initiatives,” adds Rajesh Joshi, CEO of the AIC-GIM Foundation. “GIM has consistently been devoted to establishing an ecosystem that supports sustainable practises and creates significant social effect,” says Prof Ajit Parulekar, Director, GIM. GIM’s aim is to adopt sustainable practises, and we have been taking appropriate measures over the previous decade.”
