The hackathon consists of a number of problem statements divided into two categories: enrolment and authentication
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) will hold the ‘Aadhaar Hackathon 2021’ from October 28 to October 31, 2021, to commemorate the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and foster the culture of innovation among youth, the Ministry of Electronics and IT announced on Tuesday. According to a press statement from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, UIDAI has launched the ‘Aadhaar Hackathon-2021′ to improve residents’ experiences and how they interact with enrolment and authentication software platforms through technological innovations.
The hackathon consists of a number of issue statements that are divided into two categories: enrolment and authentication. In the previous few days, UIDAI has received over 2700 registrations from engineering students. Students from various types of engineering institutes, such as IITs, NITs, and NIRF, as well as several top-ranked colleges from around the country are participating, ranging from Arunachal Pradesh in the east to Jammu and Kashmir in the west. UIDAI has intended to evaluate the application using a jury-based process comprised of senior members/officials from the IT industry, academia, consulting, and government.
“Innovation is not just a phrase or an event,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated. It’s a never-ending process. Only by comprehending an issue and attempting to solve it can you innovate. We need to get to the bottom of the problem and come up with creative solutions. Innovation is the engine of growth in an era when knowledge equals power.” UIDAI has launched the ‘Aadhaar Hackathon-2021′ with the goal of improving residents’ experiences and the way they interact with registration and authentication software platforms through technical advancements.
UIDAI Team also conducts daily online interactive sessions to clarify the problem statements with appropriate use cases in order to aid these young developing minds. These lectures mostly discuss issue statements, as well as the specifics of UIDAI APIs and products that would be necessary to create custom solutions. Many young inventors and participants have praised and appreciated these interactive sessions.
