Max Life Donates 8,500 COVID Care Kits to Gurugram Police

Max Life has created a separate pool of funds for epidemic-related assistance, representing about 16% of its total corporate social responsibility (CSR) budget.

Under a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, Max Life Insurance Company Limited has donated 8,500 COVID care kits to the Gurugram Police Department to support the collective fight against the COVID-19 epidemic. With N95 masks and sanitisers, the grant will provide frontline protection to all police personnel in the city. This is in continuation of the company’s PEHAL initiative to help frontline workers during epidemics.

As part of the Culture of Giving initiative, Max Life donated 20,000 PPE, health and safety kits for frontline warriors, 36,300 safety kits for police officers, and 5,000 kits for patients recovering from public hospitals in 2020. The company also distributed another 5,500 Antigen test kits in hospitals and more than 6,000 protection kits in RWAs in Delhi NCR.

We express our gratitude to the Gurugram Police Department and DCP HQ Gurugram, Mrs Astha Modi (IPS) for accepting our gesture and enabling us to contribute our support in securing the lives of our frontline heroes.”

In 2021, Max Life provided over 50,000 safety kits across 350 locations in India. The campaign included the distribution of masks, shields and disinfectants to police and defence officials, health workers, state administration and frontline workers in the education sector.

Max Life has created a separate pool of funds for epidemic-related assistance, representing about 16% of its total CSR budget. As part of this, it provided rations to the needy and materials to various organisations.

As per public disclosures and annual audited financials for FY20-21, Max Life has achieved a gross written premium of ₹19,018 crore. As of 31st March 2021, the Company had ₹90,407 crore of assets under management (AUM) and a Sum Assured in Force of ₹1,087,987 crore.
