The collaboration between NITI Aayog and BYJU’S will give education to children in 112 aspirational districts

Under Aakash plus Byju’s, Byju Career-Plus programme will identify and deliver high-quality test prep coaching to 3,000 meritorious kids in grades 11 and 12 who wish to take the NEET and JEE exams

In an effort to ensure access to excellent education, NITI Aayog teamed with BYJU’S, an edtech startup, on Friday to provide students in 112 Aspirational Districts across the country free access to BYJU’S high-quality and tech-driven learning programmes. The collaboration to support school students in these developmentally challenged districts consists of two main components, one of which is BYJU’S Career-Plus programme, which works with Aakash+BYJU’S to provide high-quality test prep coaching to 3,000 meritorious students in grades 11 and 12 who want to take the NEET and JEE exams.

Also, under BYJU’S social impact effort, Education for All, a voluntary programme for youngsters of school-going age, classes 6-12, who can decide to receive scholastic content via BYJU’S Learning App for three years. A dedicated working group will be formed as part of the project to develop a knowledge, innovation, and strategy support system. “Technology has played an important role in ensuring consistency, and many classes have switched to a “online” style. “With BYJU’S joining us, the students in these aspirational regions will have the opportunity to attend quality education,” stated Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog. A dedicated working group will be formed as part of the project to develop a knowledge, innovation, and strategy support system. The team will also track and assess programme execution to guarantee efficacy and a wider range of services.

“With this relationship, we are certain that students from marginalised groups and places will be empowered with tech-enabled learning, resulting in beneficial systemic changes in the education ecosystem,” stated Byju Raveendran, Founder and CEO of BYJU’S. Students will be chosen for the Career-Plus programme based on a pre-designed test and will get teaching and content materials, as well as mentoring support and advice. This programme will bring together the best of classroom and online learning to create a hybrid educational approach.
