A high-power committee has been formed to investigate the concerns and doubts of candidates about the results of first-stage computer-based test (CBT) of Centralised Employment Notification CEN 01/2019 of non-technical popular categories (NTPC) issued by Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) on January 14-15, 2022.

The committee will go into issues raised by candidates and give recommendations. The issues are about the results of first-stage CBT of CEN 01/2019 (NTPC) and methodology used for shortlisting candidates for second-stage CBT without affecting existing shortlisted candidates and introduction of second-stage CBT in CEN RRC 01/2019.

The candidates can lodge their concerns and suggestions at rrbcommittee@railnet.gov.in

All chairpersons of RRBs have also been directed to receive the grievances of candidates through their existing channels, compile these grievances and send the same to Committee.

Candidates are given three weeks’ time, up to 16 February 2022, to submit their concerns. After examining these concerns, the committee will submit their recommendations by March 4, 2022.

In view of above, the second-stage CBT of CEN 01/2019 (NTPC) from February 15, 2022, and first-stage CBT of CEN RRC 01/2019 from February 23, 2022, are postponed.

On Monday, thousands of candidates, who had appeared for the RRB’s NTPC recruitment exam blocked trains in protest against the results released earlier this month. While the aspirants, mainly in the state of Bihar, continued to protest on social media, Railways said all recruitment processes took place as per rules and no one would get any unfair advantage over others in landing a job, say reports.
