NCL Under CSR Signed Contract Worth ₹95 Lakh With Sonbhadra Administration

Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Miniratna company of the Government of India, carries out significant work in many areas such as health, education, skills development, nutrition, infrastructure development towards sustainable community development under the corporate social responsibility in the surrounding region.

In this streak, the Dudhichua area of the company in Madhya Pradesh, making remarkable efforts for the upliftment of the poor, tribal and backward strata of the society, has entered into a contract of ₹950 lakh with the administration of Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh.

On behalf of NCL, Dudhichua Area Base Supervisor Anurag Kumar and Deputy Commissioner, District Industries Sonbhadra Rajdhari Gautam signed this contract under corporate social responsibility. On a contractual basis, this amount will be paid to the district administration by the Dudhichua region in two instalments.

As part of this MoU, a laptop lab, photovoltaic kitchen, central sound system, CCTV, Wi-Fi, TV, etc., are included. It will be organised for 1,000 students studying at Sevakunj Ashram operated in Chapki village of Mayurpur block of Sonbhadra district.

NCL’s Dudhichua, also built a 24-room hostel, an office, etc in the area for residential education of tribal youth at Sewakunj Ashram in Chapki at a cost of ₹506.29 lakh. In addition to the hostel, a kitchen and dining room for a thousand children is also being built here for around ₹205 lakhs. With the construction of this hostel, higher residential education will be provided for children living in remote areas.
