Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has launched its second Skill Enhancement Centre in Rajasthan in collaboration with Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Kota. The new centre will empower local youth with job-oriented technical skill training as part of the HMSI’s CSR initiative in the city.

“By up-skilling local youth and enhancing their employability, we are proactively supporting the Skill India Mission to empower the youth of our country,” said Pradeep Pandey, Senior Vice President – Customer Service, HMSI. He added that while BS-VI emission norms raised the demand for skilled technical manpower in the automobile sector, the COVID-19 restrictions devoid students with hands-on practical training. “HMSI’s second Skill Enhancement Centre aims at providing an improved facility to recoup for practical training while ensuring all safety protocols,” said Pradeep Pandey.

Ashwani Kaul, Chairman, Institute Management Committee, Government ITI, Kota, and Vice President, DCM Shriram Fertilisers and Chemicals; Ashok Kumar Sharma, Deputy Director, Training, Department of Technical Education Rajasthan, Regional Office Kota Zone; Rahul Sharan, Senior Manager – Skill Enhancement, CS Technology & Customer Relations, HMSI, and other dignitaries from Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Private Limited attended the inauguration of the Skill Enhancement Centre.
