Hero MotoCorp Gifts 215 Scooters to the Delhi Police Under CSR

The scooters come with sirens, traffic lights and a public announcement system and other essential police equipment

In keeping with its commitment to diversity and inclusion (D&I) and safety, Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer, gifted 215 110cc Pleasure scooters to the Delhi Police Department at a special function to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Launched under the company Hero We Care’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, the scooters have sirens, traffic lights and a public announcement (PA) system and other essential police equipment. Police officers will use the scooter for active patrols in the city to ensure the safety of the women of Delhi.

The scooters were handed over to the officers of the Delhi Police Department in the presence of Bharatendu Kabi, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Communication, Hero MotoCorp, Delhi Police Commissioner, Rakesh Asthana, senior officers of police and Hero MotoCorp officials.

Praising the initiative, Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana said, “Delhi Police has a long association with Hero MotoCorp, and these scooters are a sign of the company’s deep appreciation for the hard work of the police. officer.

These scooters will be used mainly by our women officers to ensure the safety of the women of the city. Such initiatives encourage police to enforce the law and keep the roads safe and secure for the public.

To date, Hero MotoCorp under its CSR – Hero We Care program, has partnered with the state police departments of 11 Indian states: Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Telangana, Haryana, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Karnataka, Orissa and Madhya Pradesh and the two union territories of New Delhi and Puducherry.
