Goodyear and Fortis Hospital Join Hands to Enhance Pediatric Healthcare in Haryana

Goodyear India has partnered with Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad for its annual CSR initiative. The purpose of the partnership is to expand the Pediatric Resuscitation Unit (PICU) in the hospital. This association seeks to strengthen the health care system to provide better care to children.

Under the initiative, Goodyear India is supporting the hospital by donating critical equipment to treat children. The machines include beds for patients, stretcher hydraulic, syringe pump, video laryngoscope kit, ventilators, central stations for monitoring patient beds (PICix CNS 16 Bed), portable Colour Doppler Ultrasound System, ECG machine, among others. Goodyear India has procured the equipment and has provided them to the childcare unit, catering to the needs of pediatric patients.

As part of this partnership, Goodyear India will support the hospital by providing basic childcare equipment. These include beds, hydraulic stretchers, spray pumps, video laryngoscope kits, syringe pumps, ventilators, central stations for monitoring patient beds (PICix CNS 16 Bed), portable Colour Doppler ultrasound system, ECG machine and more. The equipment is purchased and supplied by Goodyear India to the Department of Child Care at the hospital to meet the needs of pediatric patients.

The improved PICU was recently launched on the hospital grounds by Jitender Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad, in accordance with COVID-19 norms. The ceremony was attended by Anil Vinayak, Fortis Healthcare’s Group Chief Operating Officer; Sudhir Vaijanapurkar, Goodyear India Ltd.’s Manufacturing Director; Yogesh Gupta, Goodyear India Ltd.’s Plant Head HR; and other key stakeholders.

With the commencement of the third wave, the healthcare system’s strain has grown even more. We feel it is our responsibility to support healthcare providers and healthcare programmes that have a beneficial impact on our communities,”  he added.
