What is Government e-Marketplace “GeM-Gem”?

E-portal GeM or Government e-Market Place is an online marketplace through which any person can connect and do business with the government sitting at home. After registration, the seller supplies according to the demand of government departments, as it happens in any market. To do this, one has to first contact the manufacturers and then the goods are supplied from there on demand. Any person who is doing the right production and making goods of the standard prescribed by the government can sell one’s goods on the GeM portal.

Know who can sell on the GeM portal?

Any seller who is selling the taxable and certified products can sell his product on the GeM portal. If you have a good to sell, then go to the portal and register yourself.

To register on GeM, one has to first create a user ID and password by visiting the official website of GeM. To create a User ID, you need to enter your Aadhar or PAN card, mobile number and email ID. After creating the User ID, log in to GeM and enter the details like office address, bank account, experience, etc., on your profile.
